Gogomama began as an idea about fashion for all ages. It was inspired by the work of Ari Seth Cohen in New York and women like Iris Apfel, pictured below, who is still creating beautiful designs in her nineties.

The name, ‘Gogomama’, is an amalgamation of two Zulu words: Gogo and Mama. They mean ‘grandmother’ and ‘mother’,  two life states that many women over sixty are familiar with.
